2 New Stamps & "So Tinsel" Winner!

Hi guys!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  Mine was quiet & cozy.  Since all 3 of us were sick, we ended up staying home and having my parents come over with some food.  It was nice.  Gio had fun opening his gifts.  I recorded a video, but I'm not sure if I'll be sharing that with you since I sound weird.. lol.

Anyway, Santa was good to me, I received the top 4 items on my list from my husband and parents, and the 5th item mom said she'll get for me for my birthday (which is around the corner).  YIPPIE!!!

If you participated in the 12 Days of Craftmas 12 Day Blog Hop, then you knew I was giving away my "So Tinsel" stamp set.  The winner of that is Melinda Sweetman, which I've already contacted via my facebook page.

I also wanted to take the time to share with you my 2 new stamp sets that are available for preorder.

I designed "Documented" & "Sweethearts" to be used for Project Life, Card-making and even mixed media... They are up in my Artfire shop and the presale price is lower than the regular price, but the price will go up on January 1st, so make sure you get your discounted set.  All the details about the stamps are in the listings.

P.S. "So Tinsel" is now available for a discounted price as well.  I hope you take advantage because I will not be reordering those stamps!

Thanks for checking in and I hope you guys have a wonderful week.

Saturated Canary Stocking Stuffers

Hi everyone.

If you are like me and it's 2 days before Christmas, and you've done just about all you can (craft-wise) that's on your TO-DO list, but you still have so much product and inspiration left that you JUST HAVE TO make something more?... then I've got 2 cute ideas for you.

The first is a very easy DIY snowglobe I created for the Saturated Canary Youtube Design Team.  It was fast to make and could be used as decor or as a last minute Christmas gift.  You can watch the video HERE.

Click HERE for the SC YT video.

Click HERE for the SC Shop.

I had never seen this next idea before, until I browsed Instagram last week.  I thought it would be a terrific stocking stuffer for ANYONE!  Because who doesn't LOVE chocolate & candy?  (I know 1 person.. my mom!)  hahaha...

Here I used an array of candies, hot glued them to each other to form the shape of a sleigh and used 2 more Saturated Canary digis to create tags.  They are so cute!

I hope you were inspired and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New 2014!

12 Days Of Craftmas! [Day 3]

Hi Darlings!

I'm honored to join this group of extremely talented women to help inspire you and make you smile all these days leading to Christmas.

For the next few days we will be sharing fun holiday projects with you, and I hope you take the time to join us each day.

Inspired by Carta Bella's "Winter Fun" paper pad, I created a shabby/vintage chic theme'd card with soft colors that are so sweet and gentle.

I copic colored Saturated Canary's new digital stamp called "Tree Topper", which has become my absolute most favorite Christmas stamp this year.  She is so adorably sweet and that one little bulb on that frail little tree just tugs at my heart.  I cut some coordinating paper with few dies and distressed everything with "Vintage Photo".  The flowers I used are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I made "snowy" by adding Snow Tex and Stampendous Frantage embossing powder (one of my new favorites lately).

The sentiment comes from my "So Tinsel" stamp set, which I will be giving away to 1 lucky winner.  And as I usually do, I matted the inside with more of that gorgeous Carta Bella pattern paper.

Okay.  Now... let's talk BLOG CANDY!

1.  Follow my blog.
2.  LIKE my Facebook Page and leave a comment with your favorite Christmas song.
3.  Leave a comment below telling me your favorite Christmas Tradition.

Do all the above and you will be entered to win my "So Tinsel" stamp set (seen below).  This is open worldwide, and I will be shipping it to you as a gift and thank you for joining me today.

Stop The HOARDness!

My Mind's Eye has been one of my favorite companies to use for all types of crafts.

I'd tell you what collection I used to make these 3 adorable Christmas cards, but I put away the supplies and I don't remember the name.  It's an old collection.  My very first designer collection.  I loved it so much that I hoarded it for a few years.

I came across it a few months ago as I pulled out paper to create projects and decided I would use more of it.  The colors are so bright and festive, it's just my style.

One thing I learned this year was to stop hoarding.  I got rid of so much stuff from my home, clothes, toys, craft supplies and even kitchenware.  I was surrounded by too many things and it made life feel so cluttered.

The mentality that it's too cute to use really started to take over me a couple of years ago and I found myself selling old collections that I was once IN LOVE with for dirt cheap on facebook.  It killed me to do.

So this coming year I vow to use my new goodies right away (when I'm inspired and In Love with them), and not regret wasting money.

I hope you do the same.  You will be so glad that you got to craft and use all your new pretty goodies.

These 3 cards were made all within a couple of hours and was so fun to do.  They are basic style, easy to replicate and will surely put a smile on anyone's face.

I hope they put a smile on yours too.

If you have an Instagram account, you can search #HoardFreeIn2013 and see a few photos I've shared of my Dehoarding.  I absolutely LOVED doing this and will continue to do so through the new year because some time in October I got lazy/busy and stopped organizing.  But rest assure that by the end of 2014, my house will be completely HOARD free.  Beginning with my craftroom!

If you're not ready for it then don't force it.  You will not be happy and you will spend days/months thinking about all the stuff you sold/donated/trashed.  This process is difficult for many and takes lots of will power to do.  So don't force it.  If one day you wake up, look around you and say "I have WAY TOO MUCH STUFF", then I'd cancel all appointments for that day and take advantage of the moment.  Do what you have to do to declutter and I promise, you WILL NOT regret it.

12 DOC - Day 12 : Christmas Cheer

And just like at the Thanksgiving Day parade, Santa Claus is the most anticipated and exciting end.

Here's a very loveable SANTA from Make It Crafty, that I fell in love with as soon as I saw him; and there are tons more Santas to choose from.

He's so Jolly, eh?

I colored him with copic markers, and used a few different embellishments (like diecut, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers & pearls), to create a shabby vintage Christmas card.  As much as I love making CAS cards, I also enjoy getting creative and playing with all sorts of textures.

I used Snow Tex and Stampendous embossing powder to frame the photo with faux snow and add touches of "frost" throughout the card.

Zoe from MIC has a $10.00 gift certificate waiting for 1 winner and all you need to do is visit the MAKE IT CRAFTY FACEBOOK page, like it, leave a comment, then leave 1 comment here today.

The event will close 12/2/13 (tmrw), so make sure you have left your comments and applied all the rules, in order to win 1 of Santa's 12 Blog Candy prizes.

You also have until tomorrow to enter the Sequins Challenge from Day 2!  You can find that here.

Thanks so much for joining me this year and I hope you all have been inspired to make beautiful cards to share with your friends & family.  The winner will be announced some time this week so be on the look-out!

And stay tuned for more Christmas inspiration.
