A Little Hello.

Hi friends.

Today is my last project for the Cardabilities DT, and I'm a little sad to be ending my time, but I had such a great 3 months with them.  I will continue to use their sketches in the future.  They are very pretty and easy to work with.

Sketch #82, was super easy to replicate.  I kept all the exact symbols and accents for the sketch in my card.  I used MME Collectable "Unforgettable" 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment is a chipboard sticker from the same collection, as is the brad in the center of the trim.  The trim is from Michaels and the image I colored is "Scrap Happy Becca with Balloons" by Scrap Happy Ohio.

Inside I matted both top and bottom of the card, because I might have a lot to say, lol.

You can find more Scrap Happy Ohio stamps, cards, inks and dies on their website.

A huge thank you to Karan Gerber (Cardabilities DT owner) for the invitation to be on your team, alongside some amazing artists... and also for always being so sweet with us.

Vibrant & Rich.

Hi Dolls.

Since the last time I shared a video of myself coloring (which was ages ago), I have been promising to do it again, but have not made the time until now.

Last week I colored in this adorable Saturated Canary image called "Sweater Socks Fairy", and was immediately enamored by the turn out.  So much, that I decided to color her in again and try different colors.  In the process I got my camera out and recorded myself in 3 parts.  You can see those links below or visit my youtube channel.

I used Echo Park's "Here And Now" 6x6 paper pad, which turned out to be the perfect match to the colors I chose to work with (a happy mistake), a few dies by Spellbinders, Memory Box & Tim Holtz, 3 colors of perfect pearls, a stamp set by MFT Dienamics (the sentiment), some Stampin' Up punches, cheesecloth, and random flowers from my stash.

I will be entering this card into SC's challenge "Winged Things", and I hope you take out the time to do so as well.

Thanks for joining me and have blessed week.

Time To Celebrate...

Hi guys.

I saw a very cool invitation by Make It Crafty to join their FB Fan Group, and decided I would give it a try.  Because, as you know, I love to color, I love to share my creativity with everyone, and I love meeting new people through all social media outlets.

The card I made is for my sister, whose birthday is this Wednesday.  Her favorite color is blue.  I used My Mind's Eye - Indie Chic "Nutmeg" 6x6 paper, Recollections bling, an MFT sentiment stamp, a white doily, my copic markers and some random flowers from my stash.

I used one of the last few digital stamps I purchased from Make It Crafty called "Mariah", whose absolutely adorable.  You might've seen me share the making of this on my Instagram.

Mariah was pretty easy to color and made the perfect "doll" added to this card.

I finished the card inside with the same designer paper and left space to write a little something sweet for my sister.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and I'll be back soon with more project shares.

...With Sympathy.

I realized this week that I hardly ever make sympathy cards.  It's because I am not good at expressing it, especially when it comes to someone passing away.  I've never been good at sad moments.  I tend to clam up and don't know what to say.

Which is why I SHOULD make more of these types of cards.

Using the Cardabilities DT Sketch #81, I created a calming & soft card.

I used GLITZ "Love You Madly" 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment comes in the "Sympathy Stamp Set" by Scrap Happy Ohio.  I also used the Scrap Happy Ohio dye ink in "Hot Fudge", and 2 of their many adorable dies; "Sweet Addison Die" (doily, which seems to be sold out on their site), and "Fancy Flowers Die Set".  I used MFT dienamics felt to create the 4-layer flower, with a pearl in the center.  I also used an MFT leaf die and perfect pearls to finish off the front.

Inside I used a La-La Land Stamps corner die, a piece of felt, pattern paper and a white sheet to complete the card.

I hope I'll never have to use this card, but if I do, I hope it brings a little smile to someone whose hurting.

C. A. S.

When you are pressed for time.
When you are asked to for a favor (make a card) at the last minute.
When you forgot to make your husband a birthday card.
When you've lost your card-making mojo.
When your active toddler requires extra attention.

These are all excellent reasons why you would make a Clean & Simple card.

Today's share comes with 2 CAS cards I made in the last week.

The first was a card I made for mom.  She needed something for a baby shower.  My craftroom has been a wreck (since I'm trying to declutter and rearrange things), so I didn't have time to color an image and use flowers (like she likes).  So I decided to use a Jolee's sticker and a rub-on.  I added these 2 elements to a Scrap Happy Ohio card base in Cotton Candy.

The same thing happened yesterday after I came home from getting hubby's birthday gift and thought how rude it would be NOT to give him a handmade card, being that that's my hobby.  lol.

So I quickly pulled out another Scrap Happy Ohio card base in Sno Cone and used MME's "Sky's The Limit" 6x6 paper pad to build a really quick card.  The sentiment is also by SHO, called "Birthday Stamp Set", which I heat embossed.  Punched out 2 mustaches and added faux stitching.

These 2 cards were made in 10 minutes or less each.  A life saver.  You can find many other color card bases, stamp sets and more at the Scrap Happy Ohio online shop.

I hope you enjoy our weekend, and I hope I can be done soon with all the dehoarding so I can get back to making more time for crafting.
