Tennis Anyone?

Cheryl from Scraptown Lady is offering up a 25.00 Gift Certificate
and Karan (our DT Coordinator) is matching that 25.00.
So you have the chance to win a $50.00 Gift Certificate to Scraptown Lady

Lately I have been so enamored with Magnolia stamps (specifically Tilda), that I have gone on a shopping frenzy.  I just love how soft she is.  I love that I can use her to make the prettiest shabby cards... or at least I'm trying to!  hehe.

Here's Tennis Tilda on a Cardabilities DT Sketch card I made as an inspiration to someone.  I used Glitz "Hello Friend" paper, Echo Park (forgot the collection), designer paper, netting from JoAnn, an MFT die, and random flowers from my stash.  The sentiment is a sticker from the "Hello Friend" collection.  I colored in Tilda with my copic markers and finished off the inside of the card with a burst of fun banners and more postage stamping.

I welcome you to visit this week's Cardabilities Sketch Challenge and check out
what the other DT members created with this sketch.

Remember, you will be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate.

Remember To Smile Big.

If you follow my Instagram or Facebook, you'd know that I've been on a serious organization kick.  A few weeks ago I worked a little in my bedroom (which I have to go back to), and now I'm doing my craftroom, yet again.  It seems just as I find the perfect layout and place for my supplies, I figure out a newer and better way to store things.

Which is why I've been crafting less.  That, and the weather has gotten better here in Florida so I've been trying to take advantage of it.

But I wanted to make a little time today to make a card, and enter it into the Some Odd Girl July Sketch Challenge.

The image is "Sweet Thinkin' Mae" and I colored her using the "no lines" technique.  It was not as difficult as the first time that I tried it.  I think I'll do more of this style of coloring in the future.  The paper I used is from Simple Stories (which I find myself reaching for each time), "Vintage Bliss".  I added a few touches of perfect pearls all over.  And the card base is "Banana Split" by Scrap Happy Ohio.  They have a wide variety of colors to choose from, with their coordinating matching inks.

Have a blessed week.

I tend to shy away from coloring purple.  But since summer started, I have tried to challenge myself more with using copic colors that I don't normally gravitate towards.

I attempted to color in this gorgeous Magnolia stamp and loved the turn out.

I used Webster's Pages designer paper, a Poppy Stamps leaf die, LaLa Land Crafts corner die, MFT Stamps banner die and random flowers to accessorize.  The pearls scattered around were made with liquid pearls and also recollections pearls from Michaels.

I welcome you to join us for this week's Cardabilities Sketch Challenge.
Use the sketch is below for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed week.

3 Piece Set.

Hello Blog Lovers!  Missed me?  I took a lil breaky-break from blogging for a lil bit to regroup.  To organize myself, my life and to work on some upcoming projects.

Lately I've been growing up I think.  lol.  All I think about is getting my entire house (the corners and unseen spots), completely organized.  I don't know what's come upon me, but I'm actually liking it.  Today's task is to tackle the first floor (including garage & bathroom).  I've been wanting to throw everything away and/or sell it.  I just don't see myself needing so much stuff.  I even took a 5-Hour Energy Drink (berry flavor), to get me motivated earlier in the day... since the motivation to clean & organize usually comes when it's time for me to cook dinner.

ANYHOOO... (sorry about that rant).

I wanted to share the project I created for the 5th and final round of the SOME ODD GIRL ODD IDOL Challenge.  We were to create a 3 piece set of any theme and any project that goes well with each other.

So I decided to dig out my crafty goodies and alter some things.  I really got busy on this, since it's been a while that I do anything to this magnitude.  I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it.  This is something you would see in the mantle of a home during the summer months.  Decor pieces, if you will.

The chair is a photo frame that I added tons of yummy "beachy" items to.  The photo was printed from Google, because I didn't want to give away it being me.

The lighthouse is just a wood decor piece that I wanted SO BADLY to drill a hole into it and make into a lamp (by putting the right stuff inside), but was crunched for time and couldn't make it happen.

The canvas was altered using some paints, gesso, wood veneers, shells, sprays, designer paper and more.  I loved making it.  I have another one (since I purchased it for BOGO at JoAnn), so you'll probably see another altered canvas some time this year.

I hope you enjoyed today's project share and stay tuned for more crafty fun stuff.  And P.S.  Incase you were wondering, I didn't win the grand prize.  But I still want to thank everyone who voted.  I appreciate greatly you taking the time each round to do so.  You ROCK!

Don't forget to follow on bloglovin, since Google reader isn't active any longer.  The link is below.  I actually like it better.  I am able to sort my blogs and remove those that are inactive VERY EASILY!

One of my good friends Lizzie (I still consider her "Oakley"), asked me to use some of her adorable new free printables (the cute red & aqua chevron banners), and I decided to get my Smashbook groove on.  Except, it's not necessarily a smashbook that I used, but a Michael's Creative Chaos binder (if you wanna get technical).  LOL.

In any case, I pre-made a 4th of July 2-page layout in my 2013 binder.

I colored in "Bikinis And Burgers", an adorable Saturated Canary image, with copic markers, and added stamps & stickers from my stash.  I plan on adding photos of myself.  If you zoom in below you can read why.
