Goodbye Summer.

I initially recorded a coloring process video for this adorable Tiddly Inks "Wryn Floating Along", but alas, I used my FLIP cam and it was just too blurry to even bother editing and uploading.  I would've used my Canon Rebel, but the device my husband made to hold a camera will not support the weight of my Canon.  So I took a shot and failed.  #epicfail lol.

But the good news is that I was able to record for you the color combinations I used in the hopes that it will help some of you get more comfortable in trying new colors.  Or if there is a combo that you don't currently own and would like to try, this would be a great way to get them and color along.

Skin: YR000, YR0000, E21, E04, R11
Hair: C1, C3, C6, C9
Sky: BG000, BG0000, C1, B60
Water: BG10, BG11, BG32
Clothes / Shoes/ Drink Umbrella - R81, R83, R85, R89
Float / Drink - Y11, Y18

This is my last card / project and possibly DT for a very long time.  I just can't keep up with the commitment schedule like I used to, since I started working back in July.  I miss coloring and spending time in my craft space, but other things take presidence now and I am just too exhausted to do anything fun after work... and it's an office job at that!  No strenuous physical activity what-so-ever!  Go figure!  You'd think I run marathons for a living, lol...

My first week at work.

My early morning drive to work.

Anyhow, I hope you guys continue to visit the Tiddly Inks Facebook Page, Challenge Blog, and Shop for awesome inspiration and amazing images.

I have loved working for Christy, and I know I will miss her and the DT greatly.  I want to personally thank Christy for an awesome DT experience and maybe I can rejoin if life ever gets unbusy.

If you guys are interested, I highly recommend joining the Tiddly Inks DT.  It was such a blast!

Have A Heart - TI Challenge

Today's Tiddly Inks challenge is interesting and can be taken any way possible.  I decided to go the "Valentine" route and use the Sweet Tooth image called "Guilt of Sweet Love".

It was a very easy coloring session and a quick card to build; and you can find all the supplies listed below.  But to give you an idea, I used the E50 family for the hair and the R81-89 family for the heart and shoes.

I hope to see your challenge entry in their blog with your fabulous "heart" creation.

Have a great week!

Sometimes we come across people who are, as the saying goes, "too good to be true".  I have found that when I start seeing good, humble, sweet, wholesome, generous and honest qualities in someone I back away because I think there's no way that one person can genuinely be all those things.  They must be up to something.  They need something from me.

But truly there are.  And when I find someone like that, I try to appreciate them, and let them know that they are a treasure.  Almost heaven-sent.  Angels, if you will.  Which is what inspired today's Fab Friday Tiddly Inks card.

I wanted the focus to be on "Grace", a $1.00 digital stamp by Tiddly Inks, and not on any fancy pattern paper, etc.  So I tried to make the card as white and as simple as I could.  About a month ago I mentioned how making CAS Mixed cards has become something I enjoy and this was no different.  After I colored her in with copic markers, I used pieces of white on white to create layers behind her and just a few touches of colored Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to bring out the color in the Angel.  I also did some stenciling because after I was done with the card and showed it to my husband, he dirtied it.  So adding a bit of grit helped cover the stain and also helped create more interest.  So I welcome happy accidents.  They make us more creative.  lol.

(here is the original card with the stain on the bottom right corner)

(this is me sharing my "OMG" moment on instagram)

And here is the finished card after all the changes.

You can't tell there was even a problem.

If you have come across someone in your life (whether family member or complete stranger) that has impacted your life in a positive way, I suggest you reach out and let them know that they are such a wonderful influence on you.  Because chances are they are so used to giving so much of themselves that they are taken for granted, are used to it and hardly ever get to hear how awesome they are.

Have a blessed weekend.

I have not made a vintage card in ages!  And I forgot how easy they can come together and how messy they can be.  I used a ton of product, which I've listed below for you, and had such a great time creating this birthday shabby vintage card.

I hope you enjoy checking out the 278974 photos I took of every little detail....hehe
