Dec Daily 2020 // Free Workshop

Hi Dolls,

It's been a while since I share anything craft or craftroom related.  In my defense, I have been very active on Instagram.  If you follow me HERE, you will always be up to date on my creative endeavors.  That's it.  I have no other excuse for my absence.  LOL

Recently I have filmed all of my completed December Daily projects from the time I started in 2012, up until 2019.  2018 is missing, but I will share that shortly.  You can find all those videos on my IGTV series "December Daily", or CLICK HERE.  Or, HERE for the direct video.

Today I'm back because I'm extremely excited about my 2020 Dec Daily set up and I would like to invite you to an Instagram Live workshop I'm hosting on Tuesday, November 23rd at 8pm EST.  I understand this is short notice, especially right before Thanksgiving, which is why the Live will be saved and you can watch it anytime.

Also, you don't have to be an Instagram follower (although I'd love you to and this is the only way you will be notified when I go LIVE), or pay an admission fee.  Just hang out with me for an hour as I share how I make these adorable mini file folders.

I am leaving you with a list of supplies below in the event you do not have them in stock.  I find that Amazon is a great source for crafty shoppers, and by sharing my affiliate links, I am able to receive at least a nickel for each purchase you make.  This helps me somewhat, and provides a bit of support.

So let's talk about what you will need:

1 - I am using a crate that I had my friend Nicole at WhipperSnapperCreates - whose got a super cute etsy shop filled with many different style boxes for memorydex cards.

[History:  I reached out to Nicole with my File Folder Crate sketch, and she made magic happen!]

The file folders I'm making will fit and sit perfectly in the crate Nicole designed for me, but you are welcome to using whatever you have on hand or can find your town.

**Disclaimer** Nicole will create a new listing just for the December Daily File Folder crates soon, and I will update this blog with the link and a 10% discount code.

THE DISCOUNT CODE IS "DAMARIS10"

2 - Paper Trimmers are important for this project.
Fiskars Rotary 12" Paper Trimmer - (I use and love this one)

3 - This is an optional (cheaper) tool, if you don't have the next tool and don't want to purchase it, or if you don't want to go through the "work".

We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch - WITHOUT clear label covers (cheapest)
or
We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch - WITH clear label covers

4 - The magic ingredient!  Trust me, this will be exciting to use!

5 - Score Board.  This is a MUST HAVE tool, essential for the creation of the folders; especially if you will be loading up your file folders!

Score Board - 12" - I use this one and love it.

Score Board - 6" - This will work too!  This is a good space saving size.

You will also need your Christmas paper collection, must be 12x12, but before you start cutting into that pretty paper, make sure you have a few sheets of regular 12x12 cardstock to use as samples.  I am working with the Simple Stories "Vintage Northpole" collection.  It's so bright and fun and dreamy; reminds me of October Afternoon!  I found the collection on sale HERE.  Be sure to grab it fast, before the price goes up.  Comes with 12x12 paper, stickers, washi and more!

I will be giving you precise cutting, punching and scoring measurements & dimensions that I have tested over and over, and found to be the best combination for this project.  I'm taking into consideration the fact that you may want 4x6 photos and include 4x6 journal cards inside your mini file folder.

So there you have.  I hope you gather your supplies and join me on this fun adventure of filing away your December memories!  Be sure to be on time, because it goes fast, and I don't want you to miss a thing.

Talk soon!

[ooooh, one more thing... I am going to incorporate the same File Folder idea in next year's yearly craft project.  If you want a fun, easy and meaningful way to document your Faith and spend time with God, stay tuned!].
