December Daily 2014 - [24-31]

getting sick right before Christmas took a toll on my holiday spirit.
i wasn't in the mood to make our gingerbread house,
or bake more cookies,
i just wanted to be in bed watching movies, and overdosing on tylenol cold.

and i surely wasn't in the mood to finish my december daily,
but if i didn't it would never get done.
i did a little something, it isn't as detailed and elaborate as the previous pages,
but it's done.

maybe i'm over all the Christmas hoopla.
i'm ready to use different colors and document other things.
i'm ready for pastels and black & white layouts.
i'm ready for anything other than red and green.

Christmas day required 4 pages.  there were lots of photos and i really wanted to remember every detail of "santa" coming to our house to deliver more gifts.
oddly enough, Giovanni convinced my parents that it was a good idea for him to have a kitchen.
a blue one, because he's a boy.
it was his favorite gift.
lol.

i made "santa" pancakes with strawberries, whipped cream, oranges and raisins.  they were actually yummy.
we played all day and took our meds.
and had some yummy Christmas eve leftovers.
watched movies, napped and had a calm day.

i decided to skip 12/26 - 12/30 because not much happened, besides doing some after holiday shopping, getting better and organizing toys.
but on New Year's Eve hubby i was able to get a few photos, and quickly sent those to print at costco.
i really like the quality of their prints, and they're super cheap.
just wish it was closer.
i documented the fact that i won the 1st prize in the "Celebrate December" Elle's Studio giveaway.
what a fabulous way to end the year!
the prize contains a silhouette cameo machine, 6 months of Elle's Studio kits and the complete "Good Cheer" collection, which is what I used to actually win the prize!
go figure.
hehe.

i realize i used black and white photos for the entire album, except on this page
AFTER i sent them to print.
it doesn't bother me.
i like the vivid color on this last page.

if you're still working through your DD pages and have lost your holiday mojo, i recommend turning on some holiday music and get to scrapping.  if you have to leave out a few days, it's fine.
if you have to condense 2 layouts into 1 it's fine.
just get it done and finished and over with,
that way when you get to buying more supplies in October for your 2015 december daily you won't feel as guilty.
lol.
