Rainbow Butterflies

Happy Hump Day!

I hardly ever post anything on Wednesdays, so I figured I would add this card to the blog this week to share with you my version of a very popular rainbow card that's going around on Pinterest.  I wanted to challenge myself and NOT use any colored images and just use punches.  Sometimes I feel like I go straight to copic markers to make a card and I really want to be able to make any type of card.  So I went back to my roots for this one.

I love the idea of using the rainbow spectrum to punch out the same shape and glue it to the front of a card with a simple sentiment.  I tried doing that, but for some reason I can never go quite that simple.  So I blinged it out with some teardrop blings and some buckles and added ribbon to the center to separate the sentiment from the "artwork".  It might look like it took 10 minutes, but at the start I had a purple butterfly which didn't make the cut because I just couldn't get it to fit any way I placed the butterflies on the card.  LOL!!  I struggled for like a day trying different ways and nothing worked.  I started out with 4 punched butterflies of each color and narrowed it down to 1.

It's classy, unique and gets the point across quite interestingly.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

Om Gee. This si such a cute card. Even though it is plain it is super cute. Love the white background with the colored butterflies popping out. That bling in the centers is super cute. Where did you get them?

Hi, Your card is beautiful. I also like not going to copics always, But being new to card making and trying to learn to color with them, that's what I end up doing. I even did a holder for them and post it on my blog. come take a look, Hugs and God bless!
