Hey Dolls... Happy Sunday and Happy July!

Today I wanted to share a Tic-Tac-Toe inspired layout for the July Paper Issues challenges.  I created using Fancy Pants  The colors are bright, the images are cute and the patterns were a perfect fit for my photos.  Right down the center I used Patterned Paper, a Date and Cardstock.

I started the layout thinking I wanted to separate the page into four sections without it being so noticeable.  I wanted there to be balance in color and product and I wanted to add journaling and include two photos.  By adding patterned paper layers and sewing, it helped me also create dimention.

Incidentally, I used my new sewing maching, the Sparrow 30.  It's pink and rose gold and gorgeous!  I'm new to sewing and don't know all of the fun techniques, but this has been super simple for a beginner like me.  If you're interested in it, check the sidebar on my blog for a direct link to the cheapest place to find it on the web.

The placement of everything came together fairly quickly, what takes me a while is gluing things down.  I tend to second guess myself and walk away from a layout for an hour before I commit.  LOL.  What do I do during that hour?  Anything... use a face mask, watch a tv show with hubby, cook, clean, play with Gio, go to the store, open up happy mail.  Anything to distract me from the layout.  After an hour or two, I return to my craftroom and if I don't absolutely love it, I move things around.  If it still makes me happy I then begin to adhere it and finalize things with puffy stickers and dates.
