Today I'm on the COGC blog sharing "Something Old / Something New", but I will be completely honest with you in saying that there's not much "old" in this layout. All the cards and embellishments were obtained within the last 6 months, except the alphas that spell out "FREE CONES". Those are definitely at least a year old or more. Most of the other products are by Webster's Pages (tiny alphas), Amy Tangerine epoxy "Rise & Shine" stickers, Elle's Studio "Cienna" collection and more that can be found in the Come On Get Crafty Shop.
I wanted to capture our weekend using bright colors. We spent Saturday at the park which prompted us to visit Diary Queen for free ice cream. Sunday after church we treated ourselves to some delicious macarons and other yummy goodies at Whole Foods after Gio got his haircut. We set up a nice area in our patio and relaxed as we watched the boats go by.
.
Are you into the Macaron craze? I've loved them for several years now and have even attempted to make them at home. They are quite the temperamental dessert. It takes time and skill to get them just right; and I plan on working on that this year.
