30 Days of Christmas - Finale

Well ladies, this is the end of 30 Days of Christmas.  I have been avoiding this post all evening (yesterday) and morning.  I have one hour to finish before my 8am deadline and I can't bring myself to saying goodbye.  =(

I thought about making another 20 days of cards, but I honestly need to make time for other things.  And then I had a "light bulb" moment as I recorded my husband playing around with the left over scraps on my table... (video to come).  So here's the exciting news!!  I Am Going To Extend Our Blog Time Together One More Week But I Am Calling It "TABLE SCRAP CARDS"!  There will be no prizes and no requirements (boo, I know), just me trying to figure a way to use all the pieces from the 30 Days of Christmas card leftovers to make new cards out of it.  They probably won't all be Christmas related, but most will.  I've already done 2 and I hope to make another 5 today so I could post it for you and be ready for the next week.  I figure this would be an easier way to soften the "goodbye" and not rip myself away so roughly like a bandaid.  lol.

Anyway, let's get to Day 30's card.

As I browsed on Google over the weekend I came across a company of stamps that I had never heard of before.  Spesch Designer Stamps has great digital stamps and I was able to purchase one of my top favorite Christmas ones.  It was very fun to color and I plan on going back for more.  They are just adorable.

(click photos to enlarge)

The card itself was kind of a last minute idea I got.  Hubby he doesn't like it much.  He gave me a B- for the card because he found 3 things he didn't like... LOL.  What does he know right???  (Him and his horns).

So using a distressed Tim Holtz Baroque die piece as my backdrop, I tried to create a window.  I used 2 Martha Stewart punches (double scallop border and medium branch), I used Recollections bling, Wild Orchid Crafts & I Am Roses flowers and a $1 wood stamp that I got from Jo-Anns, which I was able to color in to match the card.  The bird at the top is a cut out from Websters Pages' "Botanical Christmas - Winter Fairytales" paper that I thought fit at the top corner there.

The other paper line I used was MME Lost & Found "Christmas".  I barely used this paper for my cards, and I love it a lot, so maybe you'll see it in a future project.

She's called Santa Girl and along with using copic markers (see above photo), I also used White Fun Flock to cover the fuzzy part of her outfit.  I tried taking a close up so you could see it better.

I really REALLY love this image and coloring her was really easy... so as an added BONUS I want to include 2 pre-printed Santa Girl images for both winners.

I would offer the digi file, but then that would be like stealing from them right?  So the next best thing is to send you some samples to try it out yourself.  I hope the 2 winners would love that.  I am also including some extra goodies in both winners' packages.  You won't know what it is until you open it.

Thank you so much for joining me on this 30 day challenge.  I have absolutely enjoyed reading your comments and getting to know you all through the comments.  Thanks so much for all the support and I hope you will join me next week for "TABLE SCRAP CARDS"... that should be interesting huh??  Maybe one day I'll get hubby to make a card for you... hehe..

I will be drawing numbers and announcing the 2 winners tomorrow.  I would record myself doing it, but I'd have to double check for the qualifications and make sure that all the rules were met.  Also I have to count out all the extra entries from the posts and figure that all out.  So instead, I thought to take photos of everything and show you who won that way.  Good Luck To Everyone!!

Talk to you tomorrow.
x0, Damaris

I WILL BE ENTERING THIS PROJECT INTO THE SHOP PUMPKIN SPICE DESIGN TEAM CALL.  WISH ME LUCK!!

I really love this card. She is adorable. Love her big blue eyes. I also like the flocked areas. Super nice. The punch you bought is super nice and you have definitely gotten good use out of it. I am going to try and find it for a tree I want to make and use on a project I am working on.
I am really going to miss reading your blog daily.
Thank you for sharing your talent with all us followers.
