Happy Birthday To Me - My Pink Stamper Challenge

Here is a birthday card I made. I used DCWV "SWEET" stack paper, a Stampin Up butterfly stamp, the cuttlebug swiss dots folder, brown and white polka-d0t ribbon and 3 pastel green pearls. The bookmark was made using the same items and placed on cardstock. I also used 1" and 1.5" circle and circle scallop fiskars punches.

My Mission To Get Copics.

Hi everyone. I want to thank everyone for following my blog. I plan on making more cards to show, more videos and definitely more weekly challenges.

I have been listing items for sale on eBay the past few weeks in the hopes of raising money to be able to get a good hearty (lol) self starter Copic markers kit. There are about 40 markers that I definitely want to start out with, but (as you may know) they are very pricey.

I am posting my listings here for you all to take a look at incase you are interested and/or if you know someone that might be. The links are below.

Thanks for your cooperation. I appreciate it.

Birthday Owl Card

Mom asked me to make her a card for my niece whose turning 10. Her favorite color is purple. Since I've been into owls lately, I figured I'd incorporate that into this card. I used the Hampton Art "Whoo Loves You" clear stamp set and DCWV paper from the 2010 Spring stack (i believe). I added Recollections dew drops in purple and colored the image with Stampin Up color pencils. I rounded the bottom corners and used Stampin Up dimentionals to pop up the party hat, balloon and sentiment. Inside I added Making Memories glitter alpha stickers in black.

I hope to get into Copic markers (which is my birthday wish), but in the meantime I will use what I have.

Anyway, I hope you are inspired by this card and have a great day!!

I'm Cheating on Hello Kitty with...

...OWLS!!

Like, OMG... I love OWLS all of a sudden. I mean I used to always think they were cute, but now I find them so amazingly beautiful. But not all of them, just the ones that are designed cute with pretty pastel colors. =)

I went to Target to return a gift and they gave me $21 on a gift card. I knew I wanted to buy one stuffed owl made by Circa, but I didn't know they had MORE!!! I'm in love. I must go back for the baby owl and then the canvas photo art. The 1st pictures shows 2 stuffed owls. I couldn't leave the store without one of them so I ended up getting the bigger pink one for $17.99. The little yellow one is $14.99, and I hid it behind some ugly throw house pillows so no1 will find it and they'll sell out. LOL!!

I WANT IT!!

That is all...

Out With The Old...

Hi. Sorry I have not been around to share any updates or cool stories, but I've been since. I think I got it from my baby Giovanni, who got it from my father on Christmas.

My New Year's Eve was uneventful. We spent the evening at church then headed to my husband's parent's house to meet up with his family who had already gone home. Oh well! On New Year's Day is when I started to feel sick. 1/2/11 was supposed to be the date of Giovanni's presentation in church, but my husband (Axel) canceled because the baby and I were both sick. I have been home since just fighting this cold and congestion. Giovanni seems to be doing better than I am. He giggles, sleeps easy and doesn't cry unless he's hungry. I, on the other hand, have been a big sourpuss. lol.

Today I finally started to feel some sort of energy and desire to do something other than watch bad tv and sleep. I had my husband take the baby to my parent's house for an overnight stay while I completely recuperate. I didn't feel like being in bed so I made my way down to the craft room (1st floor - we live in a 3 floor townhouse), and decided I would take some time to reorganize and revamp my space. Throw away what I don't use (like 10lbs of scrap paper) and tidy up the place so that it looks neater. The following photos show the before. I suppose once I'm completely done I will "FLIP" my updated room. ("Flip" is the verb I used instead of record, it's fun!) Anyway, since I moved in April 2010 I have not posted an update of my craft room. I think it's about time (now that I'm not pregnant anymore) to finish the loose ends, put things where they belong and FLIP it. lol.

I hope you enjoy seeing the mess I have. =)
